First Step To The Right Fit

The first step to getting the right fitting bra is to go to your local store that offers fittings and go in and have a fitting done. You could also do it yourself and I can tell you how to do it step by step.

First, you will need a tape measure that will wrap around you. The second thing you should do but don't have to removes your shirt so that you don't get the shirt wrinkled up in the tape measure. The third step is to wrap the tape measure tightly around you right under your breast and whatever number you get you add five to it. So if you get that you are 35 inches around and you add five you will be size 40. Now without moving the tape from the point on your back angle the tape measure ends up and pull them together and that should verify your size that you got below your breasts.

Next is finding out your cup size and to do that is to move the tape measure up around your breasts and take a loose measurement not tight. If you get one inch bigger than the band you would be considered a size A, 2 would be B, 3 would be C, 4 would be D, 5 would be DD and 6 would be DDD

Now also a little trick that you might not have known about is that if you go up in the band you can go down in the cup size and if you go down in the band size you can go up in the cup size. For instance, if you are measured at say a 38 B and you go down to a 36 you would have to go up to a size C cup. If you went up to a size 40 you would go down to a size A cup. Just for reference size 40 A is a really hard size to find.

As I go on into the adventure of bras I will try to give more advice and suggest more as we go.
